Q: How are the venues for the Super Bowl chosen, and how far in advance?
A: “The location of the Super Bowl is chosen by the NFL well in advance, usually 3 to 5 years before the game. Cities place bids to host a Super Bowl. Candidate cities are evaluated in terms of stadium renovation and ability to host a Super Bowl. Then the NFL owners meet to make a selection on the site. The sites for the next 3 Super Bowls have been determined, up to Super Bowl XLV in 2011.”
2009 - Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida ( Raymond James Stadium)
2010 – Super Bowl XLIV Miami, Florida
2011 – Super Bowl XLV Arlington, Texas (Dallas Cowboys’ new stadium)

Q: I have an etiquette question. Would it be okay to ask my guests to remove their shoes before they enter my house?
A: We consulted the book by Peggy Post “Excuse Me, But I was Next…”: How to Handle the Top 100 Manners Dilemmas for the answer. Ms. Post answers, “Yes- as long as you’re considerate about it. Offer guests slippers or non-skid socks so they won’t be cold or embarrassed about showing their feet.” She also said if you do not know the guests well or you are having a large party, allow your guests to wear their shoes in the house.
