Children make up an important part of the family literacy program at the West Warwick Public Library. The children’s activities are chosen on themes similar to what their parents are studying in their classes. Seasonal crafts and books are also included in their lessons. This fall the children will read about what happens during fall, all about apples, Halloween fun, the Thanksgiving holiday, and ways to stay healthy. The children in our program come from many countries that include South Korea, Mexico, Honduras, Vietnam, and China. For more information, please go to the Fall 2009 class schedule or call Sue Schweikart, literacy coordinator at401-828-3750 ext. 15 or email sschweikart@wwlibrary.org
